Woven between day-in-the-life ranch footage, 'Beyond the Herd' follows Mexican-American equestrians Amber and Isidro and their kinship with wild mustangs, reflecting on their own encounters with discrimination and 'otherness.' As resources dwindle and the mustangs' survival hangs in the balance, their bond becomes a symbol of resilience, transforming wild horses into lifelong companions.
